Ideation Week for Health: Terms & Conditions
Object and Definition
The Ideation Week for Health is an initiative promoted by Fábrica de Startups and by NOS, in partnership with Deloitte Digital. It will take place between May 30th and June 3rd 2016.
The main purpose is to promote entrepreneurship in Portugal by supporting the creation of new teams, the development of new ideas and business models related to the health sector.
The Ideation Week for Health follows the methodology of Fábrica de Startups, a 5 (five) step path built to identify and characterize the main segments of the sector, determine the problems these segments are facing and to develop innovative solutions to tackle these problems.
The Ideation Week for Health will be open for at most 50 (fifty) individual participants.
The ideation program will end with the Idea Day, where startups will have a chance to pitch their idea to an audience.
Eligibility of Applications
Participation in Ideation Week for Health requires an individual application of the candidates.
The Ideation Week for Health is looking for people with interest in the health sector.

Application and Selection process:
Application:
Participation is open to all citizens over the age of 18, who speak Portuguese.
No trademarks or legal persons can participate.
The participation in the Ideation Week for Health is only permitted for individual people.
Team applications are not allowed, only individual. However, teams will be create during the program.
Candidates must demonstrate their effort in a whole, as well as their experience, technical and management skills necessary develop their business.
Applications will be considered by Fábrica de Startups only after submission of the application form.
Fábrica de Startups can request additional information for evaluation of the participant, in order to make a final decision.
Selection Criteria:
Fábrica de Startups will select the participants by taking into account all the information made available through the application form and additional information that may be requested.
The selection of participants will be based on the level of commitment and experience on the health sector.
The selected participants will be announced via email.
The evaluation and selection of participants will happen until 7 (seven) days before the program starts.
Participation and Ideation Program
The bootcamp phase and the Idea Day will take place at Fábrica de Startups facilities: Rua Rodrigo da Fonseca nº 11, Lisbon.
Participation:
Participation in the Ideation Week for Health requires the presence in Lisbon (Portugal) during all the bootcamps and Idea Day.
You will be notified by email of your selection. Selected participants must confirm their participation on the program until 2 (two) days after being informed of their selection.
Ideation:
Bootcamps: 4 (four) sessions organized made by Fábrica de Startups’ and guest speakers,
Idea Day:
Participants will have the chance to present their pitch to a jury.
Participants will need to prepare a pitch deck for this session, guided by Fábrica de Startups on the last boot camp session.
The project presentation does not guarantee funding.
Responsibility
Fábrica de Startups cannot be held responsible for the cancellation, postponing or any change in the contest on any of its phases due to unforeseen causes or in cases of force measure.
Exclusions and limitations
Fábrica de Startups reserves the right to exclude, cancel or reject any idea submitted, and/or cancel the participation of any participant, at any given time during the Ideation Week for Health program.
Privacy policy
It is for each participant to define who holds the rights over the presented and developed ideas and it is each participant’s responsibility to secure intellectual property rights on their ideas if they so wish.
Fábrica de Startups does not assure originality or protection of the published ideas, projects or concepts and will not be held responsible in case any idea is copied, imitated, plagiarized, or in any way used by a third party.
All presentations made by Fábrica e Startups and all support material made available to participants by Fábrica de Startups throughout the bootcamp phase are Fábrica de Startups’ intellectual property
The processing of personal data included in the Ideation Week for Health application form is absolutely confidential. It will only be used by Fábrica de Startups for the following purposes: selection, commercial, marketing activities and organization of the Ideation Week for Health.
